UrbIS-DTM
A Digital Terrain Model is "the three-dimensional area describing the relief of the terrain, excluding objects placed on this (such as buildings, bridges or vegetation)”.
The UrbIS-DTM product (short for UrbIS-Digital Terrain Model) contains three different representations of the relief:
- The 'Vector' model: the relief is represented by contour lines;
- The 'Grid' model: the 'Grid' is a matrix image formed from a set of pixels arranged in rows and columns. The value of each pixel is a whole or real number corresponding to the altitude level;
- A 'TIN' model: the TIN is a mesh consisting of irregular triangles (Triangular Irregular Network).
