Fidus
This initiative aims to regulate and encourage electronic data exchanges between public bodies, in accordance with the ‘only once’ principle. According to this principle, users provide details to a public body just once, and the institution in question then makes the information available to other public bodies which can justify a legitimate need to access it. The aim is to ensure administrative simplification on the one hand and to protect personal details on the other.

The said public services include public social assistance centres, public hospitals, all other public authorities accountable to the Brussels-Capital Region and any other institutions wishing to call upon this service.
