Programme

  • 10.00 am: Introduction
  • 10.05 am: Integration of UrbIS Download on datastore.brussels

datastore.brussels is the regional platform for opening up and sharing of data and services in the Brussels-Capital Region. Born from a desire to bring together the portals providing access to data and services in the Brussels-Capital Region, it enables the provision of open data and services from different contributors and offers users and re-users the benefit of access to all these data and services from a single source. It brings together over 1,000 data sets and services from just under 50 active organisations in the Brussels region.
Adelin Feltz (BRIC) will present the platform, and more specifically, the new UrbIS download interface that has been implemented on datastore.brussels. As of 7 December 2020, all download requests will be automatically redirected to this interface. Please don’t hesitate to explore the website using the datastore.brussels link.

  • 10.30 am: The BRIC data platform and geospatial technologies

Anaïs Vanobberghen and Anne-Laure Buisson (BRIC) will present the “Data & Analytics” competence centre and the “Big Data” type architecture that have been put in place at the BRIC over the past year to support the activities of its partners. The value of these processes will be illustrated through a use case linked to the analysis of the GPS coordinates of lorries collected within the framework of the mileage taxation.

  • 11.00 am: Break
  • 11.10 am: Best Address

François Du Mortier (BRIC) will review the implementation of the Address Register (Best Address) in the Brussels Region and its link with the future buildings register.

  • 11.30 am: UrbIS News

Various speakers from the BRIC will present the latest UrbIS news, in particular the 2020 flight and the status of the deliverables, the adaptation of the UrbIS model, the application of the cadastre, the progression of updates, the addresses and buildings register, the road reference system, etc.
