More than 24.400 visitors, more than 1000 exhibitors, about 700 represented cities and regions of 146 countries from all around the world and more than 400 speakers: the numbers of the Smart City Expo World Congress of Barcelona (19-21 November 2019) are making our heads spin!

Within the Metropolis network, the Brussels-Capital Region was represented by Smart City Manager Céline Vanderborght, who presented our Smart City policy and participated in a round table including about twelve international representatives of metropolitan administrations. The Metropolis network also organised a visit to Smart City projects in the heart of Barcelona, such as Ca l'Alier | Urban Innovation Centre and CitiLab | Citizen's laboratory for social and digital innovation.
