For the third time, Agoria and the Institut Géographique National/Nationaal Geografisch Instituut are organising BeGeo, the national congress and fair devoted to geographic information and involving the public authorities, the private sector and the world of research. This event is to be held at the prestigious SQUARE Brussels Meeting Centre on 24 April 2018.

After the welcoming speech, Michaël Trabbia, CEO Orange Belgium, and Michael Bültmann, General Manager of HERE Deutschland GmbH, will talk about the current crucial issues in the geographic sector.

The plenary session will be followed by a varied programme made up of nine parallel sessions, including a specific track for final-year secondary school students and around 80 speakers.

The day will end with the presentation of the GeoSpatial Awards and some networking time with a reception.

The BRIC is to take part in this event and will have a stand where it will present its UrbIS solutions, in particular its latest tool which uses the UrbIS-Adm-3D product.

UrbIS consists of a series of geographic databases relating to the Brussels-Capital Region and on-line services enabling easy use of these data. UrbIS is accessible to everyone. It is free to use and covered by an Open Data licence.
