As a trusted IT partner, the BRIC has provided the public institutions and bodies of the Brussels Region with the tools they need for optimum remote working during this time of confinement.

IT equipment

The BRIC canvassed its clients to find out their laptop computer needs. Around 12 clients answered our call. Orders were therefore placed and they will be provided with more than 300 laptops this week.

The VPN has been strengthened so it can accept more connections and facilitate remote working. Some of our clients have asked for additional users, while others have requested the activation of the service, as much as possible.
Last week, VPN connections reached a peak of 3,500 simultaneous sessions (number of users connected at the same time). This figure may still increase significantly, as the capacity of the VPN is much higher than this threshold.

Even during a period of confinement, the E-catalogue is available so that you can quickly and easily order software and/or hardware equipment; deliveries are still being made. It is an essential tool for making online IT purchases without leaving home!

The BOS secure platform allows remote access to all your data and facilitates the electronic exchange of legal and administrative documents between municipalities, local administrations and the Local Authorities Administration via the BOS Xchange platform.
Now more than ever, BOS remains at your disposal for document management and the perfect structuring of information. There is no cause for concern, because since the start, BOS has been designed to manage a very high load and a significant volume of documents.

The one-stop shop of the Brussels Region - still a vital tool in this confinement period! Our teams are at your disposal to develop new forms and integrate new functionalities. Everything you need for respecting social distancing instructions and allowing citizens to complete their administrative procedures from home!

Regional Data Centre

IRISbox, BOS, the E-catalogue, etc., all these applications are hosted in the Regional Data Centre (RDC), which the vast majority of our clients have selected to host their solutions and servers. The RDC is managed remotely, with the precise monitoring of all our server infrastructure and the measurement of the level of services proposed.

The IRISline service, the BRIC helpdesk, is at your disposal Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm.
