A delegation from the Brussels-Capital Region, led by the BRIC, paid a flying visit to Paris on Wednesday, 12 June. A delegation from the Brussels-Capital Region, led by Mr Feuillien, Director General of the BRIC, paid a flying visit to Paris on Wednesday, 12 June, to the Direction de la sécurité de proximité de l'agglomération parisienne (DSPAP – Directorate of public security of the Paris conurbation), a department of the Prefecture of Police in Paris.

The purpose of the visit was to find out about information and communication technologies (ICT) that could be used in the Brussels-Capital Region to efficiently meet citizens’ new requirements in terms of security management.

The issue of the operational uses of video protection and its harmonious integration into the urban environment was considered.

The delegation included, among others, Mr Armand De Decker, Minister of State and Mayor of Uccle, Mr Vincent De Wolf, Mayor of Etterbeek, Mr Hervé Doyen, Mayor of Jette, Mr Pierre Muylle, Mayor of Evere, Mr Johan De Becker, Chef of Police of Zone 5340, Mr Rudi Maerschalck, Senior Vice President Transport Systems at the STIB, the Brussels public transport company, and Ms Hélène Morel, Attaché for Informatics in the Office of Minister Brigitte Grouwels.
