The non-profit association Solival, in association with the Berchem-Sainte-Agathe PCSW, is organising an after-work event dedicated to digital exclusion. This event is an opportunity for professionals and stakeholders involved in inclusion, in direct contact with those sectors of the public affected by digital exclusion, to meet, talk and find out about the different projects being carried out within the municipality to bridge the digital divide and facilitate access to the digital technology for people who have lost their independence and/or are socially vulnerable.

The theme of this first meeting is "Who does what to promote social inclusion?"

Our colleague Tania Maamary, recently appointed to the post of Digital Inclusion Coordinator for the Brussels-Capital Region, will have the job of introducing this new role and the key points of the Brussels Digital Inclusion Plan.

Programme

  • 4.45 pm Welcoming of participants
  • 5 pm Introduction by Tania Maamary, Digital Inclusion Coordinator for the Brussels-Capital Region
  • 5.15 pm Speech by Périne Brotcorne, co-author of a study on the digital divide in the Brussels Region
  • 5.30 pm Sharing of the experiences of Brussels digital inclusion stakeholders: non-profit association Fobagra, Digital Public Space (EPN) Biblioberchem, non-profit association Espace Cultures & Développement
