Malware that targets smartphones
Previously reported in 2019, a Trojan horse called Brata can, once installed, monitor banking applications.
Have you received an email, seemingly from your bank, insisting on the importance of protecting your data? Be careful!
This is how Brata works; you are asked to view the details of this email by clicking on a link containing the word "help". You are then taken to a page which is identical to that of your bank where you are asked to install an application to "secure" your account.
The damage is done: when you open your banking application, the hackers will receive all your login details; if they manage to transfer money, they can also remove all traces because Brata can also perform a factory reset on smartphones.
So, never act on this type of message and contact your bank if you are in any doubt!
