Maximum concentration was the order of the day in the BRIC IRISbox room on 17 April.

About ten computer specialists were there, armed with their laptops, for another Alfresco Global Hackathon, an event that “follows the sun” from Sidney to San Francisco, bringing together computer programmers to work on various projects in the pure open source software tradition.

But it’s far from being a case of DIY, and the presence of Philippe Dubois, support engineer at Alfresco, bears witness to the “parent company’s” interest in this operation.

Ms Bianca Debaets was kind enough to visit us, giving her an opportunity to see that such events are part of the future and of improving services for the general public.
