Sustainable Urban Mobility Action Cluster

On November 8 the BRIC will welcome the members of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Action Cluster, an international work group pushing “smart” mobility solutions, as requested by the centre’s control cabinet.

The cluster is an initiative of the het European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC), a European programme that aims to gather cities, regions, industrial businesses, small and mid-sized companies, investors and researchers around the topic of the Smart City.

The attendees – about seventy – will be welcomed by Céline Vanderborght, the Brussels Capital Region’s Smart City Manager.
There are group sessions planned during which they will work on the six themes below:

  1. On Demand – Last Mile: solutions complementing existing public transport
  2. Smart Parking Solutions
  3. Intelligent Speed Adaptation
  4. Traffic Management of the Future
  5. Urban Freight Transport
  6. Excellent Governance for New Mobility Services

The Sustainable Urban Mobility Action Cluster wants to boost the implementation and use of new mobility services in order to contribute to prosperous, healthy and clean cities that are accessible and adapted according to their habitat.
