Brussels Secretary of State for Digital Transition, Bianca Debaets, announces that in 2018 she is investing EUR 100,000 in new equipment for the Public Digital Spaces in Brussels.

One of these Public Digital Spaces (PDS) is to be installed in the commune of Koekelberg today.

Together with the  BRIC, an action plan has been drawn up under which four PDS are to be fitted with new equipment every year.

In these DPS, members of the public can use modern ICT tools free of charge. Communes can also use the spaces to offer basic ICT courses. The DPS are a crucial part of the Brussels government’s strategy to tackle the digital divide.
