The 3rd Cyclehack event was held on 15, 16 and 17 September, in partnership with the BRIC and smartcity.brussels.

Cyclehack is an ideas development marathon aimed at facilitating and boosting bicycle use in the city.

This event is organised simultaneously in thirty cities around the world. Brussels was the only Belgian city to take part.

Smartcity Manager Céline Vanderborght presented the smartcity.brussels strategy and the open data portal. It was also an opportunity to announce a brand new data set in the open data portal: the locations of bicycle boxes made available in the communes of Brussels by Cyclo.

Seven initiatives were presented at the end of this weekend of reflection.
The jury overwhelming selected the ‘Bike and Go’ project, a bicycle-sharing system with trailers, applied to Villo!

Details of the other six projects are given on the Cyclehack website https://cyclehackbxl.wordpress.com/2017/09/19/final-results-2017/
