The CIRB-CIBG will be hosting a hacker-room for the Alfresco Global Virtual Hackathon on May 16, 2014.

A hackathon, or "coding marathon", is an activity where software developers collaborate in different projects to produce a working piece of software at the end of the event. In this case, the goal is to provide new features, components and add-ons to Alfresco, an open source content management system. The participants will be collaborating with other developers located in different parts of the world, getting help from Alfresco engineers and experts from the Alfresco community.

Brussels will be one of the hacker rooms in this global event, welcoming participants from Luxembourg, France, Italy and Denmark. Other hacker rooms will be located in Sydney (Australia), Maidenhead (UK), Atlanta (Georgia) and San Mateo (California).
