The BRIC welcomes Ms Céline Vanderborght, the first Smart City manager appointed for the Brussels Region.
In this context, Ms Vanderborght’s mission is to launch and speed up digital projects in consultation with the city’s ministers, businesses and people to continue making Brussels a ‘smart’ region.

Open data, electronic desk, video-surveillance, Fibre to the school, and Urbizone free Wi-Fi are just some of the digital solutions developed in response to the challenges facing Brussels. The aim is to continue this dynamic process, following on from the Brussels Smart City Summit and the creation of the smartcity.brussels portal.
