old and current aerial photographs compared

How has Brussels been built since 1930? The BruSky project finds answers to that question.
Developed by the BRIC, BruSky is a comparative visualisation program: this application allows users to look at old and current aerial photographs (1930-2012) simultaneously in the same frame. Thematic cartographic layers (economy, mobility, heritage) explaining the development of the Brussels urban area overlap in photographs, making it easier to understand a complex evolution.
All you have to do is to enlarge and move a photograph, choose two or three different dates, add the cartography detailing a particular theme and look for an address: past and present can now be compared!
