Since 2012, the Brussels Capital Region has a 320 km Next Generation Network (NGN), comprising 13 loops of 72 optical fibres. The NGN, which has almost unlimited bandwidth, is dedicated to data, fixed telephony and added value services. It is managed by a cooperative with limited liability (SCRL) made up of the Brussels Capital Region, a private operational management partner and the Brussels institutions that use the network.
