The programme

BruGIS

Mr Grégoire Vandenschrick (GIS expert) presented the BruGIS platform, an essential web tool for land management and planning in the Brussels Region, intended for both professionals (town planners, architects, notaries, etc.) and citizens.

Namur in 3D

Ms Marischal (Manager of the Urban Planning Office of the City of Namur), Mr Nottebaert (Head of the Data Office Service of the City of Namur) and Mr Engels (Walphot s.a.) presented the plan to purchase and implement a 3D modelling tool for the territory of the City of Namur, on the initiative of the Pavillon de l'Aménagement urbain.
This place of exchanges and co-construction of the city, enabling dialogue between the various users of the territory, is to invest in 3D modelling of the entire municipal territory (17,500 ha) in LOD2, in particular to produce a more realistic analysis of the territory and respond to the real issues of sustainable development.

3D to better prepare and present the development of the public space in the Brussels-Capital Region

Mr Mathieu Boisdequin (Highway development projects and work directorate, Brussels Mobility) presented the organisation and working methods put in place to provide a realistic 3D depiction of the public space development projects devised within Brussels Mobility.

UrbIS-Online 3D

Mr Vincent Streignard (GIS project leader, BRIC Operations department) described the steps that led to the implementation of the UrbIS 3D data publication infrastructure on the web. He presented the technologies used, the solutions put in place to ensure that it operates harmoniously with the 2D part and the development prospects for this project.

Finally, various speakers from the BRIC presented the UrbIS news and in particular the status of the cadastralisation project, the deliverables from the 2017 flight, the evolution of 3D, the topographical land surveys, the evolution of distributions, the Inspire compliance of UrbIS data, etc.
