Brussels Smart City for Culture: art and culture in the digital era

Brussel Smart City for Culture

Brussel Smart City for Culture

On Tuesday 13 June at Flagey, the BRIC organised Brussel Smart City for Culture, a new event under the banner of Brussels Smart City.

The event gave an overview of the digital [r]evolution in terms of the creation and dissemination of and participation in art and culture.
Inspired and inspirational speakers, together with a range of cultural exhibitors, met at Flagey where several workshops and varied panel discussions were also held.
In particular, it was an opportunity for our Smart City Manager, Céline Vanderborght, to present the various “smart” tools and services that we provide for the Region: IRISbox, Fidus, the opendatastore.brussels portal, the Smart City portal, and so on.

Creation was indeed present at Brussel Smart City for Culture with several fascinating artistic screenings and interactive works! The spectacular musical performance Betøn, with Rachid Moro, Andri Soren and François Gaspard (FTRSND Collective) provided a fitting end to an event that was both surprising and interesting!
