URAIA

URAIA is a global platform created in 2014 by UN-Habitat and the FMDV (Global Fund for Cities Development) to support local governments in making the most of SMART technologies and solutions for managing cities.

The platform has more than 100 members, including 60 cities and their partners (networks of local governments, technology providers, research institutes, international organisations, civil society, etc.).

Every year, the platform brings together its members for an annual meeting. In 2018, Brussels was choosen to host this meeting, with the help of the BRIC. Discussions on "Using data to empower cities and their citizens" will be held on May 30th and 31st. Pre-registrations are now open.
